The company brings together two lineages. On 15 April 2019, STATS LLC announced its combination with Perform, the global sports content company then owned by DAZN Group, whose brands included Opta, RunningBall and Watch&Bet. The transaction was enabled by an investment from Vista Equity Partners, DAZN Group was to receive a combination of cash and a significant minority stake in the newly formed company, and the deal was expected to close in the second half of 2019.
