What Stats Perform owns
Opta is Stats Perform's sports data brand. The name has carried football data since 1996, Opta's first Premier League season was 1996-97, and 2026 marks 30 years of data innovation under the brand. Stats Perform owns the Opta name, collects every Opta data point, and builds and operates every product that carries it. The full brand relationship is set out at /stats-perform-is-opta.
RunningBall is Stats Perform's ultrafast in-play data service: trusted data, direct from the stadium, for trading and in-play betting. It powers in-play odds for more than 110,000 events per year, delivered from the venue in under one second by a 1,500+ strong global scouting network. The operation holds ISO 9001 accreditation for its global data collection centres and is the first betting data provider with five consecutive years of IBIA Data Standards accreditation.
The current product family, as published in the company's own navigation, spans OptaAI Studio, Opta Live, Opta Search, Opta Graphics, Opta Pulse, Opta Vision, Opta Points, RunningBall Ultrafast Data, Bet Trading Data, Dynamic Stats API, Opta Content Agency, Bet LiveStreams, Realtime Streaming, Retail Live Streams, Opta Pro Hub, ProVision, Content Player Pro, Opta Stream and SP Payout Card. The company also runs Opta Analyst, its own editorial destination, which more than a million fans visit every month: Opta Analyst.
What Stats Perform does
Stats Perform collects sports data through its own operation. Expert analysts capture live match events, computer vision and AI enrich them, and the RunningBall scouting network delivers venue data in under one second. The Opta data set runs from live scores and standings to Expected Goals, predictions and deep historical data, and Opta Vision captures all on-ball and off-ball moments of each player, with uninterrupted XY tracking for all 22 players in a football match.
The data is distributed as structured real-time feeds, the sports data engine behind analytics, AI models and sports platforms, covering 500,000+ matches a year with 14 billion+ unique event data points. On top of the feeds sit the AI and content products: video, graphics, editorial and research tools built on the same archive. What each audience buys is covered at /what-stats-perform-does; the trading-grade delivery path for betting operators is covered at /sportsbook-trading-infrastructure; the operational record behind the feeds is covered at /reliability-and-stability.
Who uses Stats Perform
